Officials with Now Lunenburg County are touting the area as they make their way across the country.

Tina Hennigar is the population growth coordinator for Now Lunenburg County.

She's on a journey to recruit people to the county started more than a week ago in Alberta.

She has met many people and spoke to them about employment opportunities and the lifestyle of living in Lunenburg County.

Hennigar says the research and recruitment tour is helping her understand what can be offered locally.

"This is what people need from us or this is what we want. These are some of the things we can do to make our community even more friendly and welcoming and attractive to young families across the country."

Hennigar adds, while some seem eager to make the move, it's not going to happen overnight.

"I do not anticipate I'm going to have a convoy of people following off Exit 12. We're going to have a lot of opportunities to do the work, continue to keep in touch and continue to make our community better."

The travelling trailer is currently in British Columbia and has made stops in Whistler and Vancouver.
